Temple remains for Mermaids (additional assets)

Unused Texture (Pillar)

Hyun Moo's Nest

The final installation of my first game environmental design in Unreal Engine 4. Rest of the models are built in MAYA with their textures done with Photoshop (my long favorite tools :) ). Some textures are altered from the pre made textures from Unreal engine itself, including walls and some of the stone textures. Learned so much about game modeling through this project, including proper polygon count and new vital programs.

Abandoned Shrine (Monument of Water Deity)

Model

Texture Map (Compiled)

Concept Sketch

The model of abandoned old monument. This model is the "Hero Prop," the important focal point of the larger digital game environment design project I'm working on AAU. The model was pre-rendered in MAYA and I'm currently learning how to use Unreal Engine to emphasize the realistic quality of its rusty greenish highlight.

Fairylane Game Card Designs

These are the design of the Game cards in Fairylane. The designs for the back of the cards (bottom two) are later replaced with more colorful version clearly labeled in types.

Fairylane (Board game project)

These are the shots of the collaborate game development project which we have completed our beta test last month. My role in the project is to design the game cards that plays vital role for overall gameplay. The goal of the game is to control your fairy (token) to concur all four base that we call New Found Lands and gather their landmarks before the opposing fairies do. The fairies are placed on treacherous quest within the rotating boards that shifts their direction in every turn. So far many found our game interesting yet the instructional manual requires extra amount of work in order to give players clearer view of gameplay.

I have returned!

Greetings for such a long time!! It has been a (estimably) eight months past since I post my last update. So much has been happenings during my absence from blog, including the big move to San Francisco and to prepare for my first big city life experience. Everything is now set, and now I'm back to share my newest works with you all!! I have enrolled in AAU (Academy of Art University) in San Francisco, and I'm excite to share the still shots of all upcoming works!

So Stay Tooned:)

Abyssal Fairy

This is the short two day mini photoshop project that I made for my father's birthday card. The idea was inspired from the tiny crustacean larvas and the neon-glowing invertebrates that lives deep depth of the sea.

My deepest apologies for not posting anything new for long time. My house is under reconstruction/remodeling for sale so I may not be able to do active posting for awhile.

King Cricket (Concept Sketch)

At long last, after a good winter break, its time to begin next modeling project :) Here's the sketch of my next creature, which I gave a temporary name, King Cricket. Many of its features are based on the anatomy of the Mole Cricket, with the mouth function inspired from the mandibles of house cricket, weta, and Jerusalem Cricket. The creature is also the combination of arthropod and mammal features, with thick reddish muscle similar to that of mammals hidden beneath the hard insect like exoskeleton.
The modeling project may take longer than my previous three 3d modeling works, because I decided to make each body parts of the creature separately in order to emphasize the joints of the insect, while sculpt each details of the animal like muscles on each parts.

Practice Work (Sea Horse Entity)

The test modeling I did after getting inspirations from the life cycle of Leafy Sea Dragon that I saw from the documentary, Blue Planet. I also referenced the bronze statues of creatures from ancient asian mythology in order to emphasize both gracefulness and exotic features.
