Recently I saw few pictures of old printings of Biblical creature called Leviathan. It's body looked like some kind of whale or big fish, but it's head looked like that of a lion. That kinda gave me the basic idea for the Head of the Lion in MERKABAH (as the matter in fact, most of the mythical beasts featured in bible had a head that look like a lion).
